Our Story

Started in 2022 to help families in Uriri Sub-county get the support they need.

Poverty, limited healthcare and schools, and gender-based violence make life hard for many people here. SYEDEPO runs local programs to tackle these problems head-on.

Help poor communities through local empowerment, better health, education, and ending gender-based violence.

Skills & Livelihoods

Tailoring, poultry farming, beadwork and small business training that turn talent into income.

Health & WASH

Health education, HIV testing outreaches and clean water projects across rural households.

Education Support

Mentorship, school materials and inclusive learning for vulnerable learners and those with special needs.

Gender & Protection

Awareness campaigns and survivor support to eliminate gender-based violence.

Environment

Community clean-ups and tree planting drives that restore the land we share.

Impact & Contact

What we've done so far

Dignity for Girls

Sanitary towels distributed to school-going girls — reducing absenteeism and supporting menstrual health.

Inclusive Education

Sensitised the community on learners with special needs and helped families access assessment and placement.

Community Clean-ups

Mobilised volunteers for regular cleaning drives, improving sanitation across Uriri.

We work with Migori County, NGOs, schools, churches and anyone who wants to help the community.
